In short

This website is built to collect as little as possible: no cookies for visitors, no third-party trackers, no advertising and no external fonts or scripts. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us through the contact form or by e-mail.

What this website processes

Anonymous page counts. When you view a page, your browser sends us only the page address, the language shown and — if you arrived from another website — that website’s domain. We do not store IP addresses, device identifiers or browser fingerprints, and we set no cookies. The counts are aggregated per day and deleted after 90 days. Browsers that send “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” are not counted at all.

Language preference. Your language choice is stored in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it. It is never sent to us.

Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical request data (such as IP address, time and requested page) for security and operations. These logs are kept for a limited period set by the provider and are not used to profile visitors.

Editors only. People who log in to manage this website receive the standard WordPress login cookies. Visitors do not.

When you use the contact form

The form sends us your name, e-mail address, organisation (optional), the topic you chose, your message, the language of the page and the page you sent it from. We store it in our website’s administration area and forward it to our team’s mailbox, so that we can reply. We do not store your IP address with it, we do not send you automatic e-mails and we never add you to a mailing list.

Form messages are deleted automatically from the website 12 months after they arrive. Replies we exchange by e-mail follow the rule below.

To block spam, the form uses an invisible trap field and counts submissions per visitor for one hour using a one-way, daily-changing code derived from the connection — the code cannot be turned back into an IP address and is deleted after an hour.

When you e-mail us

If you write to us, we receive your e-mail address, name and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to answer you and to follow up on the enquiry. We keep correspondence as long as needed for that purpose and for a maximum of 24 months after our last contact, unless a business relationship or a legal obligation requires longer.

Legal basis

We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website and answering enquiries, and — where you contact us about a potential agreement — to take steps at your request.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell or share personal data for marketing. Data is processed by our hosting and e-mail providers on our behalf. Because we work across the Caribbean, Europe and Asia, correspondence may be handled in more than one country; we apply safeguards appropriate to the jurisdictions involved.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to its use, or ask for a copy. Write to the address above; we answer within 30 days. If you are in the European Union you may also complain to your data-protection authority.

Changes

If what this website collects changes, we update this statement first and change the date at the top.
