The research core

Xijver Frontier Lab

Intelligence that understands the physical world.

The Frontier Lab is where Xijver's long-horizon research lives: world models grounded in physical interaction, simulation-to-reality transfer, and the safety science that must come before any system leaves the lab. It is deliberately an applied lab — it industrialises frontier-class intelligence rather than racing to train the largest models.

What it does

Four pillars.

01

World models

Vision-language-action models trained on proprietary physical-interaction data — the asset text-only labs cannot copy.

02

Sim before steel

Digital twins of real sites and a measured sim-to-real transfer rate as a core metric. Nothing ships on faith.

03

Natural testbeds

Rivers, ports, plantations, forest and energy assets within reach — a physical laboratory most labs can only simulate.

04

Safety science

Systems-theoretic hazard analysis, red teams and evaluations treated as first-class research, not an afterthought.

How research ships

From field to safety case.

Every capability walks the same six steps. None of them is optional.

  1. 01

    Field data

Sensors on real sites — rivers, ports, plantations, energy assets — under purpose-bound data agreements.

  2. 02

    Digital twin

A calibrated simulation of the site, versioned like code.

  3. 03

    Learn in simulation

World models and control policies learn where mistakes cost nothing.

  4. 04

    Measure the transfer

The sim-to-real transfer rate is measured, not assumed — the Lab’s core metric.

  5. 05

    Safety case

Hazard analysis, red-team findings and evaluation results, signed off independently.

  6. 06

    Hand over to SAPI

Only a model with a safety case leaves the Lab.

Research tracks

Where the Lab will work first.

Chosen because the problems are real here and the testbeds are within reach.

Starts in P1

Industrial & energy inspection

Autonomous inspection of plants, lines and pipelines in heat, rain and remote terrain.

Starts in P1

Agriculture & aquaculture autonomy

Perception and control for fields, ponds and plantations — supervised by people.

Starts in P1

Logistics, river & port automation

Moving goods where roads end: riverine corridors, ports and depots.

Starts in P1

Applied AI for regulated finance

Fraud, transaction-monitoring and credit models — delivered to TUDOS inside its perimeter.

P1 is the foundation phase (months 6–18) on the roadmap. Progress is reported, dated, in the progress log. Progress log →

Applied by design. Frontier by application.

Where it sits

Part of one system.

Receives

Research questions from the ventures and the field.

Delivers

Licensed IP, models and safety cases — handed to SAPI.
